Greene County Schools has a long history of putting technology in the hands of students. Beginning in 2003, Greene County Schools was the first rural public school system in the nation to provide laptops to students in grades 6-12 through a partnership with Apple.  Greene County Schools has been featured in several profiles produced by Apple.  

We have seen many computer refreshes during the 12 years of our program.  On June 8, 2015, the Greene County Board of Education took the next step in approving a transition to iPads for all students in grades 6-12.  The Greene County Commissioners approved the lease on June 15, 2015.
